Litauras: Exhibition of Mold Blown Glass Artefacts at Industry City
05/13/21 - 06/06/21
11:00 am - 6:00 pm

Industry City

Industry City, Makers Guild, Building 5, Innovation alley, 2nd floor

Litauras positions material and spatial experience of glass in terms of dynamic atmospheres of light. Coevolution between reconfigurable molds and glass elements reveals paradoxical states of being – dynamic and static, temporal and enduring, tolerant and precise, difference in repetition, unity in diversity. Activated by still and moving light, the optical and surface behavior of glass is disclosed through transmittance, reflection, refraction to actuate its potency as a medium rather than a material. Concurrent with NYCxDESIGN event: Weighted Transparency, witness the illumination of mold blown glass artefacts and screened animations from Cornell University architecture design studios led by architect and educator Naomi Frangos in partnership with Corning Museum of Glass.

Times: 11am-6pm, Design Days May 13-18, and Fri-Sun, or by appointment:, reception TBA
